The MyPool Story
Thank you for visiting the MyPool website. I finished building my first pool in 1998 in the back garden of my family home, with the help of my father, my wife, Marion, and two brothers. After finishing my naval career, I began working in recruitment: I found that having a desk job rapidly decreased my health as I had little time to exercise (especially with having two young children!).
For me, swimming is one of the most enjoyable ways to get active, however the impracticalities of public swimming pools made it a very rare occurrence. I took matters into my own hands and decided to build my own pool.
25 years later and I would never have imagined that MyPool would be the business that it is today. MyPool allows individuals who may not usually have access to exercise to move their bodies in the comfort of warmth and complete privacy. I know how much this means to those who use my pool in Lee-on-the-Solent, and I am delighted that I have been able to help others hire their pools across the UK.
The "MyPool" vision is to provide appealing, accessible and affordable swimming and hydrotherapy facilities for all those people who find other pools unsuitable.
I passionately believe that we need innovation in the leisure swimming market to encourage more people to benefit from regular exercise. My aim is to provide a new kind of warm water facility that enables a wider variety of people to take part in physical activities.
I am keen to work with anyone who has an interest in improving pool facilities to benefit health and well-being across a wider cross-section of the community.
